On Wednesday evening, the Planning and Zoning Commission heard a presentation from City staff and the planning team on the draft final Comprehensive Plan Revision. This meeting was also a public hearing to receive input on the plan from the public. After hearing public testimony, and asking questions of staff and the team, the draft final plan was adopted unanimously, with one change. The one change was for Action Item 2.1.C under Livable Built Environment, for the creation of the destination resort overlay, and changing the priority for this action from medium to high and the duration changed from within two years to six months. This change was in response to public input.
The draft final plan next goes to City Council on Tuesday, November 2nd.
